Preconstruction

During this phase, value engineering concepts, quality control concepts, safety requirements and project specific requirements are integrated into the project. Our preconstruction team will work with both the design team and ownership to provide the most cost efficient building solutions. Clients benefit from our experience and ability to provide reliable estimates, product life cycle evaluation, analyzing alternative products, scope development, drawing review and coordination, constructability and detail review, identification of long lead items for pre-award, project scheduling and updates, and value engineering until a total project budget and schedule are developed to meet project expectations.

Value Engineering and Life Cycle Cost Analysis

Once the project scope is determined, and goals are established, we will then evaluate the areas to target for value engineering. With our experience, it allows us to bring forward an extensive list of value engineering suggestions that are appropriate for the project.

Callahan, Inc. will provide ongoing product life cycle analysis to ensure that the building products and systems match the expectations of both the owner and the design team. Understanding the life cycle of a product and the associated cost will allow the Owner to make an educated decision upon the outcome of the analysis.

We will produce a list of possible alternative products and methods with associated costs for the teams review. As the ideas become refined, the value engineering suggestions become part of the design and are incorporated into the project.
